From Xcel’s website: “We are now evaluating potential additional route options in eastern Elbert County and western Lincoln County. A preferred route has not been finalized, nor have we stopped considering existing Segment 5 route options in Pueblo, El Paso, Elbert and Arapahoe counties. 

Please join us at one of our upcoming in-person public open houses to learn about our routing and siting process and provide feedback about the proposed transmission line route and substation site options. Project staff will be available to provide information about transmission line routing activities and answer questions about the project, including the overall timeline, route options, construction processes and topics related to easements and right-of-way. We want to hear from you about this important project and any factors we should consider in your area or across your property.”

The commissioners will be receiving the revised 1041 Zoning Regulations from the Planning Commission. These regulations govern projects such as wind, solar, and electric facilities. Drew Bolin, from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies will be giving a briefing of the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) “process” and general information on Xcel’s Power Pathway Project. This is open to the public.
